Step One: Apply to Summer Quest

Students must complete an online application, obtain three recommendations, and write an essay. Here is the detailed process:

  1. Fill out the online application. Once complete, print a copy of it and download the three recommendation forms: one counselor recommendation, one English teacher recommendation, and one teacher recommendation. Students should visit their counselors in the fall to learn additional details.
  2. Ask your counselor, English teacher, and another teacher of your choosing to complete your recommendation forms.
  3. Watch the Summer Quest film, which will be shown at your school, and answer the essay prompt. Make sure your essay is 2-3 pages in length and uses examples from the film.
  4. Submit your Summer Quest materials, including your essay, to your school counselor.

Students who have submitted complete applications and meet the minimum requirements will be invited to attend an interview, which will take place in December or January. Acceptances notifications will go out by February 1.
